Long day of travel today that was entirely uneventful, thankgoodness. The only issue was having to roust the gang at 4:00 am to make a 6:30 flight out of Reno Nevada. Once we were on the plane, there were no issues what so ever.
Some great news, when we got home, the mail was sitting on the table, thanks to our neighbor, and there in the pile was a letter addressed to my oldest son, from the Colorado School of Mines. This was the dream school, and the stretch goal for him. He was too nervous to open it himself, and handed it to me. I read Dear Nathan and the next word, “congratulations”.
All I needed to read! Nate was accepted into all three schools he applied too, Colorado, Michigan Tech and Missouri S&T, and he now has a decision to make. My guess is we’ll be driving to Colorado late this summer.
Just to answer my readers who know me well, 100% of the credit goes to… Mrs Sank.. It was her genes that contributed to the smarts and her drive that instilled to work ethic. My role.. was to make him dinner the last 4 years.
